Resilience explores the strength that remains when we feel broken or incomplete. My perspective as both an artist and a social worker has deepened my understanding of how personal and relational trauma can leave us feeling that parts of our identity are missing. The ancient sculpture that inspired this painting is itself missing parts, yet it endures. Its continued presence became a way to express that being fragmented does not mean our strength is gone.
